Our Story
580 square feet, painted pink on purpose
Que Dulce started the way a lot of good things in Florida start — after a storm. Owner Eunice Ortiz graduated from Imagine School in North Port in 2018 and tried on a few careers, but kept drifting back to food. When Hurricane Ian temporarily closed the law office where she was working, she stopped drifting and opened her own door instead.
The space is small. That's the point. Pink walls, butterflies, flowers, and a wall of Polaroids that fills up a little more every week. The desserts come from South America, Mexico and Central America — the things she grew up eating, made for a town that didn't have a place like this yet.
My ultimate goal is to see the place full, but community is super important for me.
Eunice Ortiz, owner
